SINGH SABHA SPORTS CLUB A ( SSSC A ) captured Top position at the first Part of the Premier League. KHALSA able to secure second position from Punjab.

The first half of the premier league was over with big somersault. Beautiful games of hockey were demonstrated by all teams in the first spell of the premier league of session 2014-2015. Old days were back for hockey lovers. All the matches of the premier league were full with spectators and echoes of galvanize were all over there on the field. The most rated matches were SSSC v/s Khalsa, Punjab v/s Khalsa , Khalsa v/s HKFC and Punjab v/s SSSC.

It is first time in the history of Hockey that all the Indian team beat HKFC and secured the first three pivots. The game of Hockey has now become a game of millions. This year the Hockey clubs raised their bar by introducing a large number of famous and talented Olympian from different countries including, India, Malaysia, Canada, Pakistan, Australia and Holland by all teams to increase the strength of their team.

Punjab A Player scored Maximum goals. Bilal Aleem of Punjab A knocked the goals post 19 times, the maximum goals in the tournament, while Ahmed Ishtiaq and Gaganpreet Singh, both from Khalsa A, are next two top-scorers with 17 and 15 goals respectively.

SSSC A attained the top position in the league so far with maximum 34 points, followed by Khalsa with 33 ponits.

President of SSSC Mr Satpal Singh and Vice President of SSSC Mr Kuldip Singh Uppal and Treasurer Mr. Kuldeep Singh Buttar said collectively “they are very happy with the overall performance of the team and would show their best to maintain its first position in the second spell of this league”. They also congratulated to their team members and the other teams for showing their best skills in the hockey.

Mr Gurcharan Singh Galib , Manager of Khalsa A , looked satisfied by securing 2nd position from Punjab in the last match, and mentioned that they would surely come back in the next part of the game to attain top position.

Mr Harmander Singh , spokesperson of Punjab A ,expressed with smile that the game is not yet over, “still we have enough time to come back in the game to show distinction in the second spell and that we will definitely do.”

No one knows what would happen in the second spell of the league, whether any of these will exchange their position, but one thing is certain that Hockey lovers would find very interesting matches to enjoy in the coming days.

We, Saanjh magazine, congratulate all teams for showing their best hockey skills. Khalsa A scored maximum goal in number and had minimum goals against So far, in the whole tournament, Khalsa A’s lads attained maximum success to knock the post 115 times and there are only 14 goals happened against Khalsa.

Maximum Goals Against Rhino A team played 83 games in the league and ranked 11th out of 12, scoring only 13 goals, minimum in the entire tournament along with Pakistan A team An appeal to Hong Kong Hockey Association Although all the Hockey clubs are investing millions of dollar every year on their clubs to promote hockey, the Hong Kong Hockey Association could not organize any ceremony at the end of the Final match to motivate the players.

It would be great support to all the teams especially to players, if HKHA starts prize distribution ceremony in the presence of all the teams. It will equally be good to make mandatory the presence of all team along with their officials, so that winner gets more attractions. We all hope, a little step taken by HKHA would be a boon for Hockey to strengthen its root in Hong Kong.
