Launch of Festival of Indian Films in Hong Kong The Festival of Indian Films in Hong Kong is being presented by Consulate General of India, in collaboration with Poly University of Hong Kong and Jade Group, as part of “Glimpses of India” festival in the Year of Friendly Exchanges (YoFE) between India and China. The Film Festival, arranged through Directorate of Film festivals (DFF), is showcasing seven popular Indian films, reflecting contemporary Indian culture and society as well as a glorious historical drama. The Festival was inaugurated by Consul General Prashant Agrawal, Prof Gabriel Ng from Culture Promotion Committee of PolyU and DCG Mr. Bharath Kuthati, who lit the ceremonial lamp.
Students of Master Hari Om presented a performance on this occasion. Mr. Viveik Saigal presented a brief overview of the Festival It is a good start by Indian Consulate to promote Indian Culture through Indian cinema. It will help chinese people to understand Indian Cinema.
